This document outlines the current policies and procedures for services offered by My Empower Therapy. Our goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and client-focused environment for all individuals and families we serve.

Appointments are offered at the following My Empower Therapy locations:

Please confirm the correct location when booking your appointment. Each clinic is designed to be family-friendly, accessible, and welcoming.
Therapy Hours
Monday to Saturday: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
(Availability may vary by therapist and location)
Parking & Accessibility
- Panorama Headquarters & Morgan Crossing: Free on-site parking is available. Locations are wheelchair-accessible with nearby entrances.
- Main Clinic & Newton/Delta: Shared building with designated parking. Please check signage for visitor and client parking instructions.
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved especially for you. Missed or late-cancelled sessions reduce availability for others who may need care.
- 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will incur the full session fee.
- Frequent cancellations may result in services being paused and clients placed back on our waitlist.
Illness Policy
To protect clients and staff, please cancel your in-person session if you or your child has experienced any of the following within the past 24 hours:
- Fever
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Any symptoms that would normally exclude a child from daycare or school
You may request to switch your appointment to a virtual session to maintain continuity of care.
Extended Health Benefits
Before starting therapy, we recommend checking with your extended health insurance provider to confirm:
- Eligibility for psychotherapy or mental health services
- Annual coverage limits
- Claim submission requirements (receipts, registration details, etc.)
Confidentiality
All client information is treated with strict confidentiality. We will never share your personal or clinical information without your written consent, except where legally required (e.g., imminent harm, child protection laws).
What to Bring to Your First Appointment
To support a comprehensive assessment or treatment plan, we may ask you to bring:
- School or daycare reports
- Reports from other healthcare professionals
- Relevant documentation or samples (language, behaviour, etc.)
